Bronze Maintenance

Fort Myers #1 Bronze Boat Maintenance Programs

Bronze Boat Maintenance is our entry-level oxidation prevention plan designed to protect boats that are already in good condition. This plan focuses on preventing early-stage oxidation and maintaining surface protection before deterioration begins.

What Is Bronze Boat Maintenance?

Boat Page Image

Bronze Boat Maintenance is a structured maintenance program created specifically to prevent oxidation buildup. In Southwest Florida’s intense sun and salt-heavy environment, oxidation begins much earlier than most boat owners realize. Even newer boats can start showing surface breakdown within months if not properly maintained.

This plan is designed for vessels that currently show no oxidation and do not require correction. It focuses on preserving the existing finish and preventing early fading, chalking, or gloss loss. Bronze is proactive care – not restoration.

Who Bronze Boat Maintenance Is Best For

Bronze Maintenance is ideal for boat owners whose vessels are already in good cosmetic condition and free from visible oxidation.

It works best for newer boats, recently corrected boats, or boats that have received ceramic coating and simply require consistent upkeep. Owners who store their vessels outdoors in Southwest Florida benefit greatly from this preventative approach.

Because Bronze is an oxidation prevention plan, it must begin with no existing oxidation. If surface damage or chalking is present, correction services will be recommended before starting maintenance.

What’s Included in Bronze Maintenance

Bronze Maintenance is performed every five months to maintain consistent protection.

Each visit includes a complete Detail Wash to remove salt, grime, and environmental buildup from the hull and topsides. This step prevents salt residue from embedding into the gelcoat and accelerating oxidation.

Following the wash, Vibrant Shine is applied to restore gloss and provide short-term surface protection. This polymer sealant helps create a protective barrier against UV exposure and moisture.

For boats that already have ceramic coating, the service includes Ceramic Maintenance instead of Vibrant Shine. This ensures the integrity of the coating is preserved without interfering with its protective properties.

This structured five-month interval helps maintain protection before the surface begins to deteriorate.

Frequently Asked Questions – Bronze Boat Maintenance Programs

What is Bronze Boat Maintenance designed to do?

Bronze Boat Maintenance is specifically designed to prevent early-stage oxidation and maintain surface protection on boats that are already in good condition. It is not a correction service. Instead, it focuses on routine upkeep to help slow UV damage, prevent salt buildup, and preserve gloss before oxidation begins. This plan is preventative, helping protect your gelcoat long-term rather than restoring damaged surfaces.

Bronze Maintenance is performed every five months. This schedule is structured around Southwest Florida’s intense UV exposure and salt-heavy environment. A five-month interval helps ensure the gelcoat remains protected before surface breakdown begins. Waiting longer between services can increase the risk of oxidation forming.

No. Bronze Maintenance must begin with no visible oxidation present. If early-stage oxidation, fading, or chalking is already visible, correction services such as Level 1 or higher oxidation removal may be required before enrolling in the plan. Bronze is designed for prevention, not restoration.

Each Bronze visit includes a full Detail Wash to remove salt, grime, and environmental contaminants from the hull and exposed surfaces. After cleaning, Vibrant Shine is applied to restore gloss and provide protective sealing. If your boat has ceramic coating, we perform Ceramic Maintenance instead to maintain coating integrity. This structured process helps maintain consistent protection throughout the year.

Vibrant Shine is a one-step polish and polymer sealant that enhances gloss while providing short-term UV and moisture protection. In Southwest Florida, UV exposure can quickly dull gelcoat surfaces. Applying Vibrant Shine every five months helps slow oxidation buildup and keeps the finish looking fresh between major services.

For boats that are already ceramic coated, Bronze Maintenance includes Ceramic Maintenance instead of Vibrant Shine. This ensures the coating is properly cleaned and maintained without interfering with its protective layer. Routine maintenance helps extend the life of the ceramic coating and maintain its hydrophobic performance.

Bronze is the entry-level maintenance plan focused purely on oxidation prevention and surface upkeep. Higher-tier plans may include additional protection layers, inspections, gloss enhancement, or priority service scheduling. Bronze is ideal for boats in good condition that need consistent preventative care rather than enhanced protection or correction.

Southwest Florida’s climate is extremely aggressive on marine surfaces. Constant sun exposure, salt air, humidity, and water reflection accelerate oxidation quickly. Without consistent protection, gelcoat can begin breaking down in a short period of time. Bronze Maintenance helps reduce salt accumulation and slows UV damage before visible deterioration begins.

While Bronze Maintenance significantly reduces the risk of oxidation, it cannot guarantee permanent prevention. However, when started early and maintained consistently, it greatly decreases the likelihood of needing aggressive correction services. Preventative care is always more cost-effective than restoration.

Enrollment begins with an inspection to confirm the boat has no visible oxidation. Once approved, we schedule service every five months to maintain protection and surface condition. Pricing is based on vessel size and service structure, and custom quotes are provided after evaluation.
